Jim Congleton, Great Point Mortgage Corporation

Jim Congleton is the President / CEO of Great Point Mortgage Corporation which he launched in 2005. Great Point Mortgage is a Massachusetts’ licensed mortgage broker that provides residential mortgages throughout all of Massachusetts. Jim has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years starting out as a customer service representative for a small local bank while he was in college. Through numerous bank acquisitions, Jim was promoted and held various positions at local banks, including Worcester County Institution for Savings (WCiS), where he served as Vice President of Branch Administration and Vice President of Mortgage Operations. WCiS was acquired by Bank of Boston where Jim was promoted again to Vice President of Branch Administration, overseeing branch offices from Worcester to Wellesley. Jim also travelled the country extensively while serving as Senior Practice Manager for Atlantic Data Services (ADS) as part of their Bank Mergers and Consolidations Practice.

Jim Congleton has a strong belief that giving back to the community is the right thing to do. He has been involved in the Marlborough community for over 30 years, as the 2004 Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce and with many charitable organizations such as the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation, Marlborough Kiwanis Club, United Way and, most recently, the Pajama Program which helps provide new warm pajamas and new books for children in need in the United States and around the world. Making a difference for children and young people has always been very important to him. Jim has said many times over in his career that “we need to help those that are less fortunate or unable to help themselves”. “We can make a difference.”

Jim recently served as the President of Business Connections, a business to business networking group sponsored by the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as President for the Triboro Chapter of Business Networking International (BNI). In addition to his volunteer efforts, Jim enjoys spending time with his family and friends at his home in Sudbury, and vacationing on the Island of Nantucket.
