Procuring Government Contracts Workshop a Great Success

Marlborough Economic Development Corporation and the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce presented the “ABC’s OF PROCURING GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS” workshop to local business people on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Marlborough Courtyard by Marriott.

A panel of experts presented detailed procedures, good practices and real life experiences on how to secure government contracts to benefit local businesses. A list of websites and contact information on where to obtain help in filling out the paperwork and getting advice was presented at this workshop.

The panelists included:

Beverly Sleeper – Procurement Officer, City of Marlborough

Doug Bushman – Director of Housing Authority, City of Marlborough

Steven Rooney –  Giombetti Electric, government contract recipient

Sandra Ledbetter –  MSBDC, Central Mass Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC)
