Thrive’s LEAD (Leadership Experience And Development) initiative prepares and empowers prospective young leaders who live with intellectual and developmental challenges and possess the desire to better the world. Supported by LEAD staff and mentors, young adults (age 17-25) gain the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to become leaders in their communities. Thrive’s LEAD initiative is an extension of our ongoing commitment to focus on individuals’ abilities and give them opportunities to shine.
LEAD Mentors Wanted
Thrive’s LEAD initiative is kicking off this month and is in need of LEAD mentors. There are seven future LEADers participating this year with all five LEAD alumni returning as mentors. Thrive is still in search of mentors for the program which runs from October 2017- June 2018. Mentors are asked to commit to one hour a month where they will share valuable professional and personal insights, leadership experience, and provide guidance to aspiring LEADers.
