High School Musical JR is a production of Youth Theater\, a 4-week drama workshop directed and choreographed by Sarah Worrest and music directed by Jay Maenhout. Based on a Disney Channel Original Movie written by Peter Barsocchini\, grades 7-10 will bring Disney Channel’s smash hit movie musical to life on stage. Troy\, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love\, friends and family while balancing their classes and extra-curricular activities. DESCRIPTION:“How To Eat Like a Child” is a production of Children’s Theater\, a three-week drama workshop\, directed and choreographed by Kate Jones with music directed by Dawn Bennet. This musical romp through the joys and sorrows of being a child is hilarious. Children give 23 lessons in such subjects as how to beg for a dog\, how to torture your sister\, how to act after being sent to your room\, and how to laugh hysterically. DESCRIPTION:Jackie and the Beanstalk will be performed on Friday\, July 15 at 1pm at the air conditioned Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School\, 215 Fitchburg St\, Marlboro. Jackie and the Beanstalk is a production of Little Theater I\, a two-week drama workshop for grades 1-3 and is directed by Cindy Bell. \nJoin young Jackie as she climbs a giant beanstalk to a magic castle in the clouds. Meet a hen that lays golden eggs and a harp that sings by itself. And don’t forget the giants. A classic fairy tale with a vigorous look that will leave you chanting “Fee-fi-fo-fum!”. This popular theater workshop helps children in grades 1-3 express themselves creatively through fun and imaginative play using popular fairy tales with a significant message. Each Little Theater session will culminate with a performance for family and friends on July 15 at 1:00 pm. \nAll Tickets: $7

DESCRIPTION:As you may know\, students are now required to be checked out by a “Credit Counselor” making sure that each required expense is allotted and the student can live within his/her means. Also\, if expenses exceed income\, the counselor can advise the student how to manage expenses better or assign the student a part time job to supplement his/her income. Also\, AVRTHS has decided to “Assabettize” the game particularly with the “Wheel.” Paying for “misfortunes” will include options for having the work done in an AVRTHS shop. To carry out these important parts of the program\, we will need additional volunteers\, so we ask that you contact peers who may have interest in sharing this great volunteer experience with you. \nWe will provide an overview of the Fair along with the specific assignment for each volunteer. DESCRIPTION:STEM University replaces our traditional Spring Merit Badge College and will focus primarily on Tier 1 and Tier 2 STEM Merit Badges. We have a new home as well! Partnering with Assabet Regional Vocational High School\, in 2016 we will use the school facility and classrooms\, and grow the partnership over this year to expand on what the school has to offer next spring! \nThree class periods will be offered as we have in the past. \nThis is open to Venturers as well.
