District Councillor for Wards 2 and 3 Candidates Debates

When:  Thursday, October 12, 2017 | 6:00-8:00pm

Ward 2 and 3 Councillors will debate from 6:00-7:00pm   *All candidates who qualify for the General Election are asked to arrive no later than 6:45pm*

Marlborough Public Schools Central District Office – School Committee Room
17 Washington Street, Marlborough, MA

Debate will broadcast live on WMCT-TV.

Debate Format:

At start, numbers will be drawn to see which candidate will have the opportunity to choose the order for opening and closing statements.

· Opening statement – one minute each

· First section of questions will consist of ten to twelve (10-12) questions, time permitting, by the panel of media representatives – one (1) minute response and a thirty (30) second rebuttal.

· Then both candidates, in alternation, will have an opportunity to ask the other candidate two (2) questions with a one (1) minute response and a thirty (30) second rebuttal.

· The event will end with a two (2) minute closing statement by each candidate.

· Please note that there is a tight time schedule, we appreciate your courtesy and attention to the Chamber time keeper.
